BUILDING A WARDROBE IS AS EASY AS COUNTING TO FIVE
Capsule wardrobe is a term used since the 1940's. A capsule wardrobe is a collection of essential items of clothing, designed to be worn together in harmony and never go out of style. The purpose of this type of wardrobe is to have an outfit suitable for any occasion without the need to own an excessive amount of clothing.
Although it's common to have 20-37 items in a capsule wardrobe, mindset is more important than number restrictions! A capsule wardrobe is meant to encourage mindful consumerism choices and help you save time and money.

2. Create a color palette
HANDPICK 6-9 COLORS FOR YOUR WARDROBE
A. Pick 1 base color; Choose strictly Black or Navy. Your favourite items which will be worn most often should be in your base color(s).
B Pick 2 to 4 accent colors; Use this color wheel tool to choose monochromatic, complimentary, analogous, triadic or tetradic matching colors. Your statement pieces will often be in your accent colors.
C. Pick 3 to 4 neutral coordinating colors; Choose white, grey, khaki, brown or tan variations (cream, beige, ivory, champagne, nude, sand, camel etc.) The item you wear in between or underneath your base and accent color(s) will often be in your neutral coordinating color(s).
OPTIONAL: PICK COLORS THAT MATCH YOUR SKIN
A. Cool undertones: You could have cool undertones if your veins are blue or purple and your skin burns easily under the sun. If this applies to you, you might look great in cool colors like green, blue, purple, and variations of those three colors.
B. Warm undertones: You could have warm undertones if your veins appear green and skin doesn’t easily burn under the sun. If this applies to you, you might look great in warm colors like red, orange, yellow, and variations of those three colors.
C. Neutral undertones: You could have neutral undertones if you can’t tell if your veins are blue \ purple or green, your skin burns fairly easily under the sun but a tan follows. If this applies to you, you might look great in both cool and warm colors.
D. Olive undertones: You could have olive undertones if you can’t tell if your veins are blue \ purple or green, your skin doesn't necessarily burns under the sun and your skin has a green yellow or grey tinge. If this applies to you, you might look great in both cool and warm colors.

A. Schedule a cleaning day: The process of cleaning out your closet will be time consuming and it's important to carve out time to avoid feeling stressed or rushed.
B. Group your items: Place similar items together to create individual groups for optimal visibility and organization.
C. Create piles: Going through one group at a time, divide items into "yes", "no" and "maybe" piles. The items that you feel most confident in or wear most often should go in the "yes" pile, the items you you don't feel confident in and don't wear often should go in the "no" pile, and all items which almost made the "yes" pile should go in the "maybe" pile.
D. Sort your maybe pile: Set your "no" pile out of site and divide the items from your "maybe" pile into "yes" or "no" piles following the same process as the step above.
