This branding design was created for a small business called Dibkast and owned by Anik Bonnema. The business features two collections: "Couture" and "Castoff." The Couture collection offers minimal designs that can be worn in multiple ways, providing customers with versatile wardrobe options while reducing textile waste and shipping emissions. The "Castoff" collection focuses on mindful retrieval, reviving, and recasting of items that are already in circulation, reducing the environmental cost of fashion.
The animations in this project combine vector, and pixel mediums, with the use of Illustrator and After Effects. The logo and the mascot are animated as website assets.
This unique logo cleverly incorporates the reuse symbol with the company's mascot. The circular shape of the reuse symbol is formed by the mascot's outstretched arms, while the arrows of the symbol are represented by clothes hangers being held in the mascot's hands. The result is a creative and memorable logo that effectively communicates the company's commitment to sustainability and reuse.
The company mascot is presented in the fourth motion graphic. Dibby is a lovable mascot who time travels through closets to collect and repurpose beautiful castoffs. In this captivating motion graphic, Dibby falls through a time-traveling tunnel and travels through different moments in history, collecting items from each era to give them a new life. The animation showcases Dibby's adventures as a champion of sustainability and a friend to the environment.
